People Finding Consultancy Impact Report 2024-2025

Introduction

People Finding Consultancy was founded in March 2023 with a mission to do recruitment differently by bringing the uniqueness of human beings to the heart of business and creating real connections that inspire true fulfilment.

Many recruitment providers focus on filling vacancies quickly. At People Finding Consultancy, the focus is different. We work alongside founder-led and purpose-driven businesses to help them make thoughtful, values-led hiring decisions that support long-term business success whilst creating meaningful opportunities for the people we support.

This report outlines the social, economic and community impact created between April 2024 and March 2025.

Our Values and Ethical Commitment

Our values guide every conversation, recommendation and hiring decision.

  • Integrity: We believe in honest, transparent communication with businesses and the people we support. We provide realistic advice, challenge assumptions when necessary and prioritise long-term success over short-term placements.
  • Empathy: We take time to understand the ambitions, motivations and circumstances of the people we support alongside the culture, challenges and goals of each business.
  • Sustainability: We strive to create long-term employment relationships that benefit businesses, individuals and communities whilst reducing the financial and environmental costs associated with employee turnover.
  • Collaboration: We work as an extension of our clients’ teams, building trusted relationships that enable better recruitment decisions and stronger organisational outcomes.

Supporting Purpose-Led Businesses

Throughout the year, we worked with a range of growing founder-led businesses requiring recruitment and people support.

Our work extended beyond simply filling vacancies and included:

  • Recruitment strategy and planning
  • Interview design and candidate assessment
  • Values-based hiring support
  • Employer branding and attraction advice
  • Ongoing consultancy and decision-making support
  • Candidate onboarding and integration guidance

By helping businesses make better hiring decisions, we reduce recruitment waste, improve retention and support sustainable growth.

Creating Opportunities for People

At the heart of our work is a commitment to helping people find careers that align with their values, aspirations and strengths.
Many of the people we supported during the year received guidance beyond the recruitment process itself, including interview preparation, career coaching, confidence building and support during major career transitions.

One candidate shared:

“From the first phone call to the consistent rapid replies Sam has been phenomenal and can’t recommend her advice and services enough. She really helped me when I was in need of advice and would 100% recommend her to anyone who would benefit from career and even life advice.”

This reflects our belief that recruitment should be a positive and supportive experience rather than a transactional process.

Case Study: Supporting Business Growth Through Better Hiring Decisions

During the year, People Finding Consultancy supported Landgage Heritage with the recruitment of a consultant for their northern office.

This appointment represented a key step in the organisation’s growth strategy and selecting the right person was critical to the future success of the business.

Rather than focusing solely on recruitment, support included interview design, candidate assessment and decision-making guidance to ensure the best long-term fit.

Will Bedford, Director of Landgage Heritage, commented:

“Sam helped us with the interview process to select a new consultant for our northern office. This was an important appointment, and the first step in growing the operation at a key location for the business.
Sam was able to suggest questions and approaches which I hadn’t considered, despite having hired consultants many times in the past. Her input helped us to tease out key differences between candidates and has given us confidence that we have recruited the right person.
As a small business, I wouldn’t normally use a recruitment consultant, but what Sam offers is different; more involved, targeted and better value”.

This project demonstrates how values-led recruitment can create impact beyond simply filling a vacancy by strengthening business decision-making and improving long-term outcomes.

Social and Environmental Impact

Supporting Local Economies

We focus on supporting small and medium-sized businesses across Sussex and the South East, helping founder-led organisations build sustainable teams and create local employment opportunities.

Promoting Inclusive Recruitment

We encourage businesses to adopt fair, structured and transparent recruitment processes that reduce bias and improve accessibility for a diverse range of applicants.

Reducing Recruitment Waste

Poor hiring decisions create significant financial, environmental and human costs.

By focusing on values alignment, structured assessment and long-term fit, we help businesses reduce employee turnover, minimise repeated recruitment activity and improve retention.

Digital-First Delivery

Where appropriate, we use remote meetings, digital assessment tools and paperless processes to reduce travel requirements and minimise resource consumption.

Ethical Business Practices

Transparent Pricing

All clients receive a clear Scope of Work outlining services, expectations and fees. We do not use hidden charges or unnecessary services.

Responsible Data Management

Personal information is handled in accordance with relevant data protection legislation. Information is retained only where necessary and managed responsibly throughout the recruitment process.

Ethical Recruitment Advocacy

We actively promote fair and transparent hiring practices and encourage businesses to prioritise values alignment, inclusion and positive candidate experiences.

Founder Reflection

The most rewarding part of this year has not been the number of placements made but the relationships built.

Whether supporting a business through a critical hiring decision or helping an individual take a significant step forward in their career, the common thread has been trust.

This report demonstrates that recruitment can be more than filling vacancies. Done thoughtfully, it can strengthen businesses, improve lives and contribute positively to our communities.

Thank you to every client, individual, partner and supporter who has been part of this journey.
